  • Timeline: Meta begins notifying users October 7, 2025, with changes taking effect December 16. If you chat with Meta AI about hiking, expect hiking ads, groups, and content recommendations.

  • Scale: Meta AI now has over 1 billion monthly active users across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

  • Quote: “We will soon use your interactions with AI at Meta to personalize the content and ads you see, including things like posts and reels.”

  • When: It goes into effect on December 16, 2025

  • Pricing: $30/seat/month (standard), $21/month for smaller companies with a 30-day free trial.

  • Bonus: Google is also launching Google Skills. Free courses from Google and DeepMind, plus a program to train one million developers on building AI agents.

▲ AI PLATFORMS

OpenAI pulled the classic platform playbook at DevDay 2025. Announcing ChatGPT isn't just a chatbot anymore, it's an ecosystem.

What you need to know

  • Launch: OpenAI unveiled the Apps SDK, transforming ChatGPT from a chatbot into an app store where developers can build and monetise applications

  • How it Works: Developers can now create paid apps that run entirely inside ChatGPT using the Apps SDK (currently in preview). During the keynote, they demoed Canva designing business posters and Coursera streaming educational video courses without leaving the chat interface

  • Market: ChatGPT hit 800 million weekly active users. The platform now handles 6 billion tokens per minute through its API, with 4 million developers building on OpenAI

▲ OpenAI is running the classic platform playbook that made iOS and Android dominan. Turn ChatGPT into the operating system for AI applications, and watch developers rush in to reach those 800 million users

▲ AI ECOMMERCE

Anthropic just announced its largest enterprise AI deployment ever. Deloitte is rolling out Claude to over 470,000 people across its global network

What you need to know

  • What is it: Deloitte is establishing a Claude Center of Excellence with trained specialists who will develop implementation frameworks and provide ongoing technical support.

  • Who: The partnership focuses heavily on regulated industries: financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and public services.

  • Quote: Ranjit Bawa, Global Technology and Ecosystems & Alliances Leader at Deloitte Global, explained the investment: “Deloitte is making this significant investment in Anthropic’s AI platform because our approach to responsible AI is very aligned, and together we can reshape how enterprises operate over the next decade”

Key Idea

▲ When a Big Four consulting firm deploys AI to nearly half a million employees globally, it signals AI has moved from experimentation into operational necessity for enterprise businesses

▲ ROBOTICS

Figure AI just unveiled Figure 03, and it made Time Magazine's Best Inventions of 2025. The big deal? This is the first Figure robot actually built for mass production.

What you need to know

  • What's new: Complete redesign focused on three things. Powering their Helix AI system, working safely in homes, and manufacturing at scale.

  • Upgrades: From practical: soft materials, wireless charging, to better audio for voice reasoning, and battery safety for home use. The hands got rebuilt with tactile sensing and larger fingertips to handle unpredictable household objects.

  • Production scale: Their new BotQ factory is ramping to 12,000 units annually. CEO Brett Adcock told Time he wants Figure 03 in select homes by next year.

Key Idea

▲ The AI is impressive. Their Helix neural network learned to fold towels from just 80 hours of video. Figure 03 can load dishwashers, fold laundry, and navigate homes.
